Shop and Opening Hours
When is your Map Shop in Doune open?

Our fully stocked Map Shop is located in Doune close to Stirling, 5 minutes from the A9, M9 and A84. We are open Monday 9-4.30 and Tuesday-Friday 9-5. Saturday opening is seasonal, keep an eye on the website for upto date weekend opening hours.

What are your office opening hours?

Our office is open Monday-Friday from 9am to 5pm. Our Customer Service team is available by telephone from 9am to 5pm.

Do you have a car park?

There is parking available in the village of Doune. We do not have an exclusive car park.

Online Ordering
Is there a minimum order?

No, there is no minimum order requirement.

What if I want to cancel or return my order?

If you are not completely satisfied with the goods supplied, simply return them within 30 days (return carriage to be paid for by the customer), in pristine condition and safely packed, to HARVEY Maps, 12-22 Main Street, Doune FK16 6BJ, Scotland, and we will give you a full refund.

I can’t find the product I am looking for.

Our website lists all of the products that are currently available. For your convenience there is a search bar at the top of the website. You can also use the filters to help find a product of a particular series or in a particular area. Email or telephone us if the product you want is not shown.

How do I know if you have you have it in stock?

All of the products listed on our website and carrying an ‘Add to Cart’ are in stock. Occasionally a product will be shown as “Temporarily Unavailable” while we wait for new stock to be delivered.

Are flat copies of your maps available to buy?

We can produce a flat (unfolded) copy of any map product. This will be supplied rolled in a tube. Cost is £40-£70 depending on size. Flat copies of maps are not waterproof or tearproof unless produced on canvas, so are most suitable for display, rather than use on the hill. However, it may be possible to meet your needs in another way. Please contact our Sales team to discuss further.

Do your online prices include VAT?

Yes, prices online include VAT where applicable.

Online Payment
How does the payment processing system work?

All payment processing is handled by Sagepay, which is the largest independent Payment Service Provider in the UK and provides secure online facilities for thousands of businesses across the country. All payment processing pages are hosted by Sagepay and offer the highest level of compliance under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). Sagepay adheres to the most stringent levels of fraud screening, ensuring that your details remain secure throughout the transaction process. As part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining the highest levels of security we also use the 3D Secure Authentication system.

What is 3D Secure Authentication?

3D Secure is a fraud prevention initiative launched by Visa and MasterCard and is the culmination of the “Verified by Visa” and “MasterCard SecureCode” schemes. 3D Secure creates a more secure method for authenticating your details at the time of the transaction by giving you the option to register your card (if you have not already done so) and then to verify your transaction, by entering your password or pin. Once you have registered your card for the first time, you can use your password/pin to verify your transaction every time you make a purchase from a website that uses the 3D Secure system. Do you accept PayPal?

Yes, once you proceed to the payment stage, you will be able to select PayPal and complete your order.

Delivery
How much do I have to pay for delivery?

For all orders, shipping is calculated at checkout once a delivery country and address has been specified and the total weight of all items in the cart are known. Shipping charges are subject to VAT based on the VAT rate applicable to each of the products in the cart.

By default, all orders are shipped by Royal Mail 48 unless you would like to choose a different service. Royal Mail 48 is FREE when ordering £10 or more.

How long will my order take to process?

You should receive email confirmation of your order straight away.

Orders placed before 12pm (Mon-Fri): orders are processed and despatched on the same day.

Orders placed after 12pm or at weekends: orders will normally processed and despatched on the first business day after they have been placed.

Can I use my work address as the delivery address?

Please be sure the delivery address is correct. If it is a work address, check that your office internal delivery system can cope with personal mail. We do not accept responsibility for loss or delay if you request the package to be sent to a place of work.

When can I expect to receive my order?

Orders placed before 12pm will be processed and despatched the same day (except Saturday, Sunday and public holidays). Orders placed after 12pm will be processed and despatched on the next working day.

When you receive your order depends on the class of shipping you select at checkout. Full details on shipping and delivery charges can be viewed here.

How will my order be packaged?

Your order will be dispatched in a robust, environmentally friendly paper/padded envelope or cardboard box, depending on volume. A single map, or two or three maps will normally go through a standard letterbox. For environmental reasons, we avoid using plastic bubblewrap wherever possible.

I haven’t received my order yet. What should I do?

Email or telephone us and we will confirm the date your order was sent and advise estimated delivery.

Custom Maps
Can I buy contour only or custom maps from you?

Yes! We would be very happy to work with you if you have a custom map in mind that you would like to produce. For more information see our page on Custom Maps & Event Maps. Email or telephone us with details of your requirements.

How much does a custom map cost?

The cost to meet custom mapping requirements is variable. Prices are affected by factors such as paper size, availability of data, time taken to produce the finished work, etc. To discuss your requirements and to get a quotation contact our Sales team by email or telephone.

Digital Mapping
Are your maps available digitally?

Yes! We supply our mapping via a number of companies. For details please visit our digital mapping page.

How do I get your map on to my GPS device?

We do not at present sell our maps in a format suitable for a GPS device. However, our mapping is available digitally via several third party resellers. For more information please visit our page on digital mapping.

Customer Services
Will you be producing this map?

We have a continuous programme of new publications. If you are interested in a particular area, do email or telephone us and we can tell you if it is soon to be available.

The title I want is not stocked in my local outdoor shop. Can they order it for me?

Yes! Your local outdoor shop should be able to order any title we have listed on our website. Alternatively, why not browse our website and place your order online?

How do I sign up for the newsletter?

Please visit our newsletter signup page. You can also tick the box to receive our newsletter during the order processing stage.

I have spotted an error on one of your maps. What should I do?

We work very hard to ensure that all of our products are accurate. However, should you spot something you consider to be an error, please contact us by email or telephone with the details as soon as possible.

I wish to make a complaint. How should I go about this?

Please write to us here in Doune, email or telephone. We take huge care in producing our maps and we want you to be fully satisfied with the product. Your comments are important to us. We will respond to your complaint as soon as possible.
